When someone is losing a chess game, they might think of just resigning the game. Well, I don't think resigning the game that quick is good, because it always depends on the position. If white/black had a position advantage, but losing in material there are some chances of winning the game. It would make sense if white/black were winning the game and they do not have any weaknesses, so at that point, you can resign or just wait for them to make a mistake, it could even be a draw if you try to make one.
If you were winning in position wise, but losing in material. Look for the following ways to win the game. If you still cannot win the game then try for a draw (NEVER RESIGN).
